30 Before 30 Monthly Wrap-Up
Another month has flown by and I’ve done a few more things on my list. Since February is a shorter month, I don’t feel too bad about not getting a ton done.
- Run a 5k.
- Road trip with the BF
- Do a random act of kindness at least 1 time per month. RAOK for this month was clean the BF’s bathroom and kitchen for him, without him asking, while he was at a basketball game. During basketball, he is so busy that it is tough for him to keep up on housework so I just helped him out!
- Learn to water ski
- Volunteer- Still haven’t taken a step towards this so I need to get on it!
- Go camping again (more than once)
- Read 10 classic books- These are the books I’ve finished and the one I’m working on:
- The Secret Garden
- Wuthering Heights
- The Mysterious Island
- The Jungle
- Heart of Darkness- working on this one and about half-way through it. It’s a quick read but I’m not sure I’m digging it.
- Add $ to emergency savings and end up with more than what I use! – More has been added this month due to a tax return and this month I’ll have even more since there’s 3 paydays in March!
- Spend a day pampering myself- massage, pedicure, etc
- Go out for a really fancy dinner one night, all dressed up
Make homemade limoncello– I made this and created a new delicious cocktail from it. I have a big bottle at home to drink so that will probably last me for a very long time!
- Plan (and save for) a lovely vacation with the BF – working towards this now after my tax return
- Visit brother in NV (2 for 1 with road trip??)
- Cook a 3 course meal for someone
- Take a cooking class (to learn how to cook a 3 course meal?)
- See a live concert
- Go to a MLB game outside of Target Field
Order a martini at a bar and drink it!-YAY I did this one. I went out with friends and ordered a pumpkin martini. Now I realize why I don’t drink martini’s! I wouldn’t mind trying just a plain martini as this one was sooooo sweet.- Have a drink at the Guthrie on the Endless Bridge
Make a successful Pinterest craft that can be displayed- I’ve finished this project and it turned out pretty darn good! I’m excited to have given these as gifts for Christmas, I might have to do something like this annually.- Invest in a good pair of running shoes- This month I bought some Asics GT-2000 and they are super comfy.
- Play Walmart Bingo
Send out hand-written Christmas cards to my close friends and family– I sent out a few cards to close friends/family and I think this might be another annual tradition. It’s funny how creating this list has helped me find some things that I really enjoyed doing!- Use at least part of my tax return for something completely and utterly frivolous. This will be checked off my list tonight! I’m buying myself a new camera!

- Spend more time with my family.
- Watch 5 movies off of AFI’s top 100 films. Still have not watched even 1 of these yet…must.get.started.
- Tour a state capital
- Go to the Boundary Waters
- Go para-sailing in Mexico – Cannot wait!!
- Go to the Mill City Farmer’s Market and do some taste testing!
Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday. My day included a workout, shopping, and now onto some relaxation!
